What To Expect?

• What time does it start?

The day begins at 8 am with a pancake breakfast provided by Palm Desert Rotary Club. Entertainment, food and drink vendors, the marketplace booths, custom cart show, and classic car show open at 9 am. LifeStream Blood Bank will be hosting a blood drive beginning at 9 am. VIP and Veteran seating opens at 9:30 am. Senior seating opens at 11 am. The Parade rolls out at 12 with a Palm Springs Air Museum flyover and parachuters sponsored by the General Air Conditioning.

• Where do I park?

Free parking is available all around the parade – some options to consider – The Gardens on El Paseo parking structure or the City parking lots between the businesses on El Paseo & Hwy 111 (Presidents Plaza East & West).

• I registered as a float / marching band / dance / cheer team, now what?

Thanks for registering! We are excited for your participation. Your insurance waiver, found under Participate must be signed by everyone participating and emailed to the Palm Desert Area Chamber (info@pdacc.org) no later than October 22^nd. You can check in on the southeast side of San Luis Rey Avenue and El Paseo at 9 am. Judging begins at 10:45 so please be in your assigned spot no later than 10:45.

• I registered as a Marketplace Booth, now what?

Thanks for registering! We are excited for your booth. You will receive an email the Friday before the Parade with your numbered space. You may arrive as early as 7am, but (for safety), you cannot start setting up before the street is closed. 

• I didn’t reserve seats, where can I sit?

There is street side seating along the parade route, feel free to bring a blanket or folding camp chairs.

• Do I need to bring anything?

As a spectator, nothing is required, but please bring whatever you will personally need. Temperatures are looking good, but it is still warm so please bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

• Where are restrooms located?

Portable restrooms are located all along the parade route.
